Coffee Maker

Two news pegs revolving around this post. An eccentric $20,000 Coffee Maker much in use by a siphon bar and secondly it is one-of-its-kind specially imported from Japan. Can you ever think of taking a coffee brewed in something really bizarre away from the Dexter’s world?

But fortunately one such apparatus designed using bamboo paddles, brass-trimmed halogen heating elements and glass globes is gaining popularity at the U.S-based Blue Bottle Café. It serves you with an ideal cup of coffee within 45 to 90 seconds.

Ross Lovegrove Realizes Car on a Stick Need, Still a Concept!
Posted in Car, Designer, Eco-friendly on 25 January 2008

Car on a Stick

Call it a bubble car as Ross Lovegrove does! But this designer concept-car is multifunctional as it turns into a ‘Car on a Stick’ during day time and streetlight at night. The idea is to make less use of parking space by placing the cars on the top of telescopic poles, which then behave as street lights. This green built-up automobile concept is a right platform for all solar power driven cars that navigates using GPS technology.

Car on a Stick

It can accommodate four people and is transparent, very human, subtle, mild, non-polluting and doesn’t produce any noise. I am waiting for the day when this concept would turn into reality.

Those willing to possess a personal boat can now have one by dropping $10,500. Folks, this solar-driven boat will cost only one-time expenditure and would be your life-long investment. It requires minimal maintenance charges and fair amount of nautical knowledge. Very handy, full of fun; the boat doesn’t bite you with in terms of cost as it is pollution free and runs on solar energy. Warthog Tusk Wine Opener

Warthog Tusk

It’s very rare that the corkscrew used to open a wine bottle is pricey than wine bottle itself. Mind you it’s rare but not impossible. Lately, I found Warthog Tusk Opener by Gershon Ltd that is crafted from an actual animal tusk and a stainless steel cork fiber. This doesn’t seem less than a versatile weapon shielding you at your home, giving you a reason more to justify the cost of the tusk. This vintage-inspired corkscrew comes with bona fide handle with sterling silver end cap flaunting the Gershon seal of creditability. If you have some spare amount, then you can think of doing monogramming over it. Its tailored knife-edge makes your work easier. Clad in a gorgeous black leather pouch, this designer product is really wonderful.

The Task: World’s Most Expensive Book Ever
Posted in Worlds Most Expensive on 24 January 2008

The Task

Can you think of paying 153 million Euros for mere 13-page book? You have every right to label me as insane at this hour but after reading this you will change your opinion about me. A German writer Tomas Alexander Hartman has lately unveiled his latest book bearing a profane price of 153 million Euros.

Unbelievable but this worldwide indistinguishable writer has made the presence of this world’s most expensive book in the register of the German Books in Print (VLB) declaring this will only be one-of-its kind in the markets. The Task (aka Die Aufgabe) is anticipated to make its first public manifestation at the Book Expo America 2008 Fair scheduled in Los Angeles from 29May- 1June, 2008 followed by its appearance at the Buch Wein Fair. The great philosopher took 30-long years to complete this 13-page book.
