All you filthy rich elephants thinking to witness Monaco this season to ink great deals for updating your private collection of antique cars can consider this. News is the LeMans edition of the celebrated Bugatti type 55 would go under hammer at Bonhams vintage car exhibition.
Raced ages back in 1934, this vintage racer is one extant example of the 38 type-55 Bugatti’s ever made. Developed in 1932, the coupe was possessed by the French proletarian driver, Charles Brunet and has also been worn-out in that race. A pricey reinstatement by the French expert Etablissements NOVO pursued and the Type 55 was shortly sold to the Bill Serri anthology and more lately the ‘Mas du Clos’ collection. Now, this magnificence would be up for sale on 10 May 10, when this vintage would be auctioned at more than the demanded price of €2,000,000 and €2,600,000 at Monaco.
Other must-see vintage coupes’ include a 1938 BMW 328 (€400,000 – 600,000), 1969 Ferrari 365 GTS (€500,000 – 800,000), 1972 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 NART Spyder by Michelotti (€525,000-675,000) and 1958 Aston Martin DB MKIII DHC (€150,000 – 200,000). The Type 55 Bugatti LeMans up for auction is shown at the top right of the image shown above.

An established German company CarLoft has carved out a solution for the safety of your coupe. This revolutionary practice can resolve all your outlandish parking problems, thereby offering you a peaceful sleep making you free from your fears of wheels being cluttered or stolen.

The functionality is here. Now you can drive your car via a big lift to your flat from where you can drive it towards your balcony and park it there. I think a deeper look at the pictures would clarify what this solution can do. All those, who love their car more than their wife, should access this solution so that their car can sleep next to them and not in the garage. More so, the CarLoft has unveiled the loft apartment for you. A glass wall divides your grand garage from your living billet, thereby inviting appreciation from all your friends, family and acquaintances. Plans are in progress to have CarLoft living spaces erected in such European cities viz. Berlin, Frankfurt and Hamburg and many others.

The lofts, which vary in size i.e. 2,411 sq ft to 5,802 sq ft are retailed at EUR 450,600 ($536,844).

The exclusive Sbarro Pendolauto was lately exposed to public at the Geneva Motor Show organized by auto and motorbike customizing company. The four-wheeled open “bike” makes use of dependent front and stern deferral that allows it to bend into curves while maintaining its stability unlike conservative two-wheeler. It proffers the exhilaration of a motorbike with more security and steadiness. The revolutionary mind behind these concepts is of Franco Sbarro, who is engaged for years now to design such conceptual bikes viz. hubless wheels in the 1980s and 1990s. The concept talks more about style than expediency.

I think you will agree with me that the charm of taking ride in big luxurious coupe tones down during space-crunch at parking lot. But i wonder why carmakers are geared up to produce big and now huge models to accommodate more people. Why i am pointing to this issue is because installing giant cars at doorstep becomes a severe problem.
Considering this, scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology have designed a solution that respects the space-crunch and meet your needs at the same time. The developed vehicle can be folded while parking. For now, scientists have placed a small sculpt of this car at the campus museum and plans are alive to convert this model into a real-life car that will hit the road with approaching spring.
Engineers and designer concerned with the development of this car are convinced to deliver a full-scale model, which would be a replica of this virtual work. Franco Vairani, designer of the foldable frame defines this car as a virtual computer on wheels. Truly, it would be an out product of the revolution in technologies but it’s still a challenge to convert this virtual model into a feature-packed coupe that leaves its charm once its hits the road. Expectantly, such cars would be rationally priced as it makes no sense unveiling a ‘City Car’ that tops the wish list of ordinary men.

As a part of RM auctions–automobiles of Amelia, US; a rare beastly Ford Model 40 Special roadster, custom built in 1934 for Edsel Ford, then President of the Ford Motor Company has now reached the auction block in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This one-of-its-kind Speedster was designed at Ford’s Willow Run Aircraft plant in Dearborn, Michigan and was in custody of the present proud owner for last 40 years. I wonder what made the present owner flag it for auction at the annual “Automobiles of Amelia Island” event in March. But good for the highest bidder. Wish you luck!

Here is a perfect piece of news for those who want an appearance of British sports car exceptionality. Caterham Motors, an established name in the realm of racing world, has teamed up with RS Performance to produce the ultra-modern Caterham RS Seven, the ultimate in adapted Seven coach building.
Known as RS Seven, it is a replica of other automobiles designed by Caterham but stands aside in terms of specifications. Hidden under the hood is a bug killer with a 500+ horsepower. The coupe gets its fluid from a 40-valve, 2.4 litre RST-V8 engine that conveys an over 500bhp as a supercharged variant. But if it is too much for then the detachable supercharger can be removed, thereby bringing the numbers down to a modest 380 hp and 190 ft/lbs of torque. Now here lies the core of the news: the lightweight racing beast produces a power-to-weight ratio of over 1000bhp per tonne, almost double of a Bugatti Veyron. This roadster can be yours by shelling out £115,000 ($230,000).

What could be an elite way to commemorate the Ferrari owners’ club party? Any special arrangements? Yah, of course! The creative minds engaged behind this are geared up to deliver something eternal, making this event memorable even decade after. Italy-based confectioners have structured a life-size model of the striking Ferrari F1 car using 4,405lbs of Belgian chocolate to mark the beginning of party in Sorrento, near Naples. It took more than one-year to produce this car but would take only minutes to go under hammer to serve the belly of the guests reaching there only with their appetite. Standing on the F2008, the £12,000 chocolate Ferrari looks appealing with its red edible coating and word is around that guest at the Scuderia Ferrari Club Napoli will taste the model and will be allowed to take home bits of the car after bash.

Volvo has lately unveiled a crash-proof family car that will hit the roads in the autumn. The USP of this coupe resides in its laser-guidance system built into the windscreen that enables you spot the nearby vehicles that may stop swiftly. To avoid such accidental moments, the Volvo will come to a halt within no time, thereby avoiding any smash. Designed for metropolitan driving, the CitySafety system that kicks in at speeds of up to 20mph is capable of avoiding half of all rear-end collisions. The laser reacts to traffic in the vicinity (either stationary or moving in common direction)). It can scan up to six yards ahead and has potential to sense the speed difference between itself and the vehicle in front by making 50 calculations a second to identify the braking force required to shun crashes. Even in the worse case when chauffer fails to slow, the system brakes mechanically and immobilizes the accelerator. The system will be activated in the XC60 car with starting price of £25,000 ($50,000).
