Music Therapy is a very effective form of curing many diseases that generally are disorders related to the mind and not the body. While some call it far fetched, even scientists agree that by the simple phenomenon of resonance, one can indeed stimulate the senses and cure ailments. It seems that the East has been in tune with such treatments for long and the West is only realizing now the benefits of such healing sessions of music.

Stephen Colbert pretty much knows the guys to pick on and make absolute fools out of with great success and in the now famous “The Colbert Report”; Stephen targeted Milton Pedraza, the CEO of the “Luxury Institute”. According to recent news Milton Pedraza had recommended a strategy of “stealth wealth” and “avoiding conspicuous consumption for a less flashy image” during this economic crisis. The mention of Versace is enough to get the idea of the product that could be mentioned which without doubt belongs to the upper crust. And Donatella Versace is never one to skimp on excess. Known for famously stating “more is more,” the designer has just created what appears to be one of the world’s most luxury perfumes. Despite the threat of a worldwide recession Donatella’s new fragrance will retail at $2,100.
The 3.4-oz. bottle of the perfume is covered with hand-stitched white leather and it comes in a leather box with silver and gold details. Both the sheath and the box bear metal plates bear the words “Gianni Versace Couture”, in tribute to Donatella’s brother. The formula boasts citrus accents of bergamot and mandarin blended with red berries and tangerines. There’s a floral feel too with jasmine, heliotrope and almond blossom tones. The base is muskier as Tonka bean is combined with patchouli heart and sandalwood. If the ingredients themselves are heavenly singly, what fragrance would be of their infusion?

When a company says that they are making “one-of-a-kind” piece, then you better be sure before spending a fortune on it. Maybe you would want to make sure that there is no exact replica of what you bought, but I guess there is no sure way to find out. In 2001 Vianney Halter created a project called “Faces of Time” which also included a one-of-a-kind watch. For that one, Halter imagined and realized a very special timepiece that was called “Satellarium” due to his very special shape. Apparently this watch was delivered to Goldpfeil in 2001 and sold.

This shall take your breath away. Just one look at the Caran d’Ache 1010 pen and you will know just the reason why. The Swiss baublemaker claims that the pen is a tribute to the special genius of watchmakers.
Aptly called 1010 to symbolise what we call ’smiling time’, this stylish pen has non-working gears mounted on a sleeve just under the pen’s transparent surface for funsies.
