With approaching winters, the comfort of hot morning shower brings along the anxiety of foggy bathroom mirror. Besides this, the very access to its need ends up leaving water prints on its face generating a need to depute a full-time maid rubbing cloth now and then. Be it Belvedere Italy mirror or windowpane mirror, you were expected to be cautious while shaving or applying gloss to your lips or prepare yourself to extract time from your busy schedule to clean it.
Overshadowing all the practiced solutions viz. defogging via cold-air and towel wiping, its time to welcome an interesting designer creation by Spanish design trio Causas Externas. The designer’s brief about the “mirror with windshield wiper” (as they say–espejo con limpiaparabrisas) is as simple as the concept itself. They believe the value addition of an “exterior element” in the form of a windshield wiper can keep mirror clean, making you feel high. Three cheers for them.
The wiper is available in two sizes.

How about another exciting bling in the season of running auctions? Nothing less than platinum topping on diamond cake packed in box encrusted with gems and other precious stones. Well, doing away the monotony of artwork, paintings’ and statues; the latest antique item that has made up to auction scheduled in Putian, a city in east China’s Fujian province is an agalwood-made antique bed that demands a whooping sum of $66,414,292.
Experts’ claim the bed is made up of three tones of luxurious wood and is weaved with interesting and fragile dragons and influences. The USP of the rare agalwood is that it releases its fragrance as it grows old. But question remains which makes it so pricey? Costly wood! The designed bed is 2.2 mts (L) X 1.8 mts (W) X 2.4 mts (H) and this amount of agalwood used to carve this masterpiece was extracted from a 1000-year-old tree grown in Indonesia.
This personal belonging of Lin Rengui, who bought it from the descendants of the Qing dynasty, is no less than a national treasure. Experts believe $66 mn is not the deserving cost of the bed and also if the expertise of the bed is considered then it won’t fetch less than $265mn. But yes if you can’t afford to buy one, then calm down your curiosity with the Dekka daybed that bagged “Bo Bedre’s Furniture Award 2007″ and is retailed at $48,182.

New York-based architect Robert Bernstein’s clientele is full of party-goers who are born chatters and thus cannot afford to stay tight-lipped. This drives their interest in having a pool of people who can carry on discussions rather than counted dumb figures sitting on an installed rectangular table.
Now question arrives, how to accommodate endless participators’ or visitors in a single-go of discussion. Either divide it into two-groups (is not acceptable) or get home the lately designed table that fosters conversation.
The inlets and peninsulas of this undulating table would allow people to sit in and around the curves, enabling them to feel body-language of the person on the other side of the table. The highlighting factor of the table is that it doesn’t offer any dominant place at the table and the credit for it goes to its democratic nature.
The shape of the table was hand-drawn and won the appreciation and bagged the award among the top 100 sketches. The fabric used to design this table includes 3/16″-thick painted steel (pieced, welded and painted in Soho loft). With a capacity to accommodate 20 people, this can be perched from the ceiling and attached to the planked floors through with stainless steel cables. According to Bernstein, the cables were placed in replacement of arms. But before your heart falls for this chair, let me reveal the most important point about this masterpiece i.e. price. Only $10,000.

The name says it all. So there is no need to raise eyebrows against its design. Funky but fit, Sharp but sexy, any seemingly imperfection of the chair demands a second thought as it could be a unique design. The King Queen aspect is quite unrealistic but its very presence in the form of furniture is mind-blowing. It seems only a blessed one can feel the comfort of the chair because of its hefty price. Even the Red and black shades are quite interesting.
