The very mention of adjustable furniture and fittings captivates me. Not because I have dearth of space rather it enables me to move freely besides having all the needful installments in my home. Lately, I talked about Fletcher capstan tables, which are expandable in nature designed to respect your all-time needs. Its USP is its foldable nature that occupies less space and once unfolded can house a dozen-lot. On the same lines, today we have adjustable dining table designed by Draenert called the Poggenpohl adjustable dining table. Against ordinary dining tables, it is made up of natural stone or MDF-veneer and tends to offer standard flaps on either side when pulled apart from the center.

This attribute deeply augments the surface area of the table besides offering a view of appealing design elements that can be attained by hand or by voluntary whisper-quiet motor. It also hoses stainless steel plates, cutlery box or cutting board within it. The two trolleys fit precisely into the open vicinity at the two ends. The lacquered trolley is composed of steel and wood attuned with the dining table that can be pressed into the open spot at the front ends of the dining table. It proffers added comfort viz. toaster, trays or champagne cooler that maintains an interface between the kitchen and the dining place.

Picture this: You bought a small but beautiful house in the vicinity of seaside. And then gave vent to your desires installing exclusive masterpieces, colorful walls and fully populated digital equipments to take care of your daily tasks. But here is a real furniture accessory that you must bring home. Popularly known as Fletcher Capstan Table aka expanding table, it is a perfect for a compact home that cannot afford to bear its adbsence. It is the outproduct of many years of modern development followed by a line of history of more than one and a half centuries. Its unique set of properties make it stand away from the myriad of existing and customary patterns.
This round table when rotated from its outer perimeter, it doubles its seating capacity by staying circular. Please lend your ears here as now am going to disclose its USP. On expanding it keeps the leaves wiothin itself. Whilst the compact table can accomodate six persons, on expansion it becomes open for almost 12. The entire process or expansion or reduction winds up within three seconds.

The beauty of this designer table depends upoon the nature of timber used and its cahnging swift from small to large and vice versa. When compact, the face of the table looks like six pie shaped leaves with an outer skirt in the manner of a drum table. Deep inside the first layer reside two layers of leaves, the former made up of six arrow shaped leaves and beneath it is a large star shaped leaf. And at the ground level stands a magical mechanism, strikingly beautiful in its mechanical complexity. The rotation process happens at 30 degrees of movement, monitored by electric motor or driven by human power.

If you are fighting with your imagination to churn out the best option available then here I have one. The creation takes shape of the idea from Les Fourmis, a Marseilles-based company specializing in lighting that evokes the otherworldly. Known as Cumulus, this unique ready-to-installed master art offers an aura of a cloudy sky in your room.
The illumination twisted and fashioned after a cumulus cloud is lop-sided and asymmetrical with grayish black appearance. To give you the actual feel, dewdrops of water fall from it with indiscernible filaments. It efficiently crafts a theme of a dark, ominous and rainy day. To attain this conclusion, the designers have populated it with 60 LEDs and steel mesh for ‘lighting up’. It is valued at $1455, leaving no choice for you to take home.

How many times you have gone through the painful situation of liking an exclusive piece of furniture but can’t afford to buy it as it doesn’t have any attached drawer? At least me countless! But now Israeli designer Shay Alkalay has designed Cut Attachez, an innovative system, thereby carving an alternative way for you to fit-in drawer on your own. Take a look at this animation and still images of Cut Attachez.

The system allows you to affix a drawer to the existing piece of furniture. This is done with a hold of a two runner inserted into oblique cuts on the face of a table or desk made with an authority saw.

On such a sunlit day, I feel fortunate to cover cloudy products. Don’t go deep into the words and enjoy it at surface level. Whilst minutes back, I came across Troika’s Digital Cloud and here I have another thing of similar nature. The duo shares the commonality of maintaining the form of a cloud and generating peaceful vibes that one enjoys when one flies amongst sky. This private cloud resembles like an ultra-modern rocking chair or to be more direct—a rocking bed. But don’t doubt by mistaking it an ordinary bed as it is being devised to change the definition of a bedroom. The bed might demand a bit more space but it declares to offer a new experience to couples. It swings as and when anyone touches it, and thus it seem to have two back plates that uphold a definite angle of slope.
