Though it looks very futuristic, Herman Miller’s Embody chair is a must have for an ultra-modern yet comfortable décor. Aptly called the Embody this classy piece offers a wonderful stimulus with the characteristic Herman Miller signature.
People are already tagging it as the new Aeron, must I say that the Embody has a unique style of its own. For starters, it is not sleek like the Aeron but it stands exquisite with an intricate design on the back of the chair, resembling a human spine even flexing and bending to cradle the body! Yep, don’t miss the 56 flexors.
Supposedly inspired y a pair of comfortable shoes, this chair has been designed by Bill Stumpf and Jeff Weber. Quite a remarkable creation indeed as it not only promotes health but is also a delight to look at.

The elite LuxTouch black marble tile sports 95 brilliant cut diamonds, mother of pearl and abalone. The heart of tile comprises of a pitch-black agate circle festooned with 19 diamonds and a mother of pearl flower petal pattern that glows outwards from the centre. Each petal is a single piece of mother of pearl inlaid with huge precious cut diamond and the black agate pieces amid the petals are also encrusted with diamonds.
Each of its four corners come inlaid with mother of pearl and abalone shell, attaining a visually appealing counter balance with the blistering flower petals.
When embossed, the diamonds sit faintly hoisted above the tiles that result in the utmost tactile and visual effect. I wonder the inexpressible sensual experience one can enjoy by walking barefoot on this LuxTouch flooring.

What is the most you can do to watch your favourite sport? What did we all do during the last Cricket World Cup? At most, we were faithfully glued to our television sets. It’s amazing how much passion people have to utilize their hobby into something more than that. Ever thought of making a custom-built home theatre for your kin and kith?
Our featured hero got this idea and fixed a deal with First Impressions Themed Theatres Inc. to make custom-designed home theaters. It took more than $300,000 and a hard work of four months for this dream to materialise. The designer of the project and company owner Jeffrey Smith created a never before wonder by having a floor that vibrates. In his words “the floor doesn’t stroke the walls or the concrete beneath… It enlarges and contracts with air pressure, so that when the subwoofers jolt in, you can feel the whole lot coming up from base of seats.”

All this looks wonderful with light blue LED lightings, the concealed bass absorbers, omni diffusers and strategic deflectors, enhancing the sound and the visual of the set up. The theater chairs are fully motorized having Granite drink holders and condiment trays. And when ever you may wish to hit the bar, its right behind you in its green marble-topped glory, and christened as “buddy bar”. Mr. Smith has been sensible enough to the other people in the household and made noise from leaking into the rest of the house, next to impossible. So, your husband and your children can be having a happy brawl over the score while you may be peacefully enjoying your book in the other room.

Hi-fi technical stuffs become great accessories in a modern home decor. And what better than those ubercool speakers that will surely become the reason for your neighbour’s envy! Providing for especially those who can’t settle for anything but the best, a New Zealand-based company called Arvus Loudspeakers has come with an exclusively stylish loudspeakers aptly titled ‘The Prerenaissance’.
The speakers are priced at $140,000 and are available in wood, painted, carbon fiber, and stainless steel finish options. I shall talk about the particular style option I liked the best. In the wooden look, the speakers have a very earthy yet stylish feel around them. If what we hear is correct, then each speaker has hundreds of man hours reflecting in the unmatchable design.
And the sound technology offered is a perfect match for the expensive looks. With 6 channels of amplification, the speakers can make up a total of 3000 watts RMS. Well, what more could one ask for!

To be an inventor is one thing but to be an inventor in style is another thing altogether. In our past blogs, we may have covered hundreds of varieties of head phones but I have never come across an idea as simple and yet innovative as this- wearing the earphone into the hat! With iLogic Sound Hat you can actually replace a hat for the headphone. Who would have thought of this earlier and yet how commonsensical it is!
It has double benefits, first being that you don’t need the messy, always falling out ear phones because it fits snugly to your hear and second, it keeps you warm and in vogue. All that you need is an iPod or a music player to compliment this cap.

Call it a space-crunch issue or privacy involved; folding screens from Japan were measured as no less than a dividing wall to do away with that unwanted presence of objects that may disgrace you upon your guests visit. Let’s confess the fact that despite their purposeful behavior, they look competitively ugly and hence convince us to look for other appealing solutions. Seems Daewoo was silently hearing our needs and therefore have developed DID-FS, a folding screen sporting an LCD video display integrated into each section enabling to to entertain your guests with idyllic Japanese scenery, or clips from Kurosawa flicks.
Further, it gives you the freedom to nosh each sheet with an individual image, thereby gathering the attention of your group of friends with diverse taste. For now, we have no information if the DID-FS will ever be urbanized beyond its archetype phase.

This one goes to Aila. I got a small mail from her a week back asking me to do a feature on chairs. It seemed that she had decided that I needed to change my lucky ( stinky, she says) chair. In case you could not guess, she is my brilliant house-keeper. Her trick worked, I did replace my oldie goldie, tempted as I was after comparing so many beauties in the market. I have tried to bring out the best features in each piece, without boggling the readers with too many details. Nevertheless, the ones that are mentioned are enough to make you decide which will be coming to your place.
11) Klini Sound Wave Chair is an Ideal Spa and Gym Combo
The Klini Sound Wave is one product that does not come straight out of the head of one designer but is a result of patient research done over the years. This chair is like your Grand Ma sitting by your side and rocking you to sleep, says the users. This is not just a chair but a stress release therapy and a music player all in one. Though it may not play music that you want to, but it knows best what relaxes a tired mind-specially designed chakra alignment beats. If I have to describe it in three words I would says that it is a spa, treadmill and gymnasium put together. Price: $3000 plus shipping. 10) Jovial DVD Luxury Massage Chair: Beat it up!

Jovial Luxury Massage Chair Recliner is definitely your bet if you are constantly on the move. The mother of all massage chairs, Keyton concept chair enjoys an edge when put across gamut of massage chairs. Now what makes this one different from others is that you can actually sit on the music apart from listening to it. If that appeals to you, perhaps you would not mind its not so comfortable back. The subwoofer and volume controls of Lodge Chair do not come in built in the chair but is attached to a geeky looking side table. 3) Tristar Massage Chair isn’t built for the average living room

Do not go by looks but buy by features. If this is the mantra you follow while buying a gadget, perhaps you would not be put off by this piece. The Tristar Massage Chair looks much like a dentist’s chair but works wonders on your feet, face and fingertips. Price: $7,807 2) Matrix Chair: A Nuclear oven

The thing that makes it a cut above the rest is that it comes from the torpedo lifting jaws of an actual nuclear powered nautical. Zoran Milivojevic, the mind behind this creation has taken full care of the ergonomics factor. Another thing, the manufacturers will happily customize the color and padding at your behest.
