Fold-Up furniture items cannot miss my vision. Not because I keep on hunting for one but fortunately I come across them so often that I smilingly end up doing certain R&D about it. I simply loved the sofa cum bed, compressed ceiling bed, computer table cum bed and today I discovered another entrant Hanger Chair and Inflatable Table, a designer creation by Philippe Malouin.

The furniture item respects space need without compromising at your comfort level. The Hanger Chair, (pictured above) is a sophisticated arrangement of coat hanger and folding chair, makes a lot of sense. And let me give some generous respect to the deserving inflatable table as well. This space saving inflatable table can house 10 and is adequately brawny to stand of. When not in use, this Grace Table can be deflated and placed inside a duffel bag. For inflating it, you may have to do some phenomenal exercise by pumping air into it but that’s good for you. Agreed, you wouldn’t like to this activity very often but during crisis situation, this can be your savior and believe me results are really impressive.

Featured above is multi functional Spinning Wall that respects your space without compromising on the high-tech saga that tops your charts. It integrates several gyrating components connected jointly viz. dining table, kitchen, bedroom, or exercise room with a simple twirl of the wheel. The first glimpse of the TurnOn is evocative of a life-sized hamster wheel. A deeper insight would reveal that it is an arrangement comprising of numerous modules functioning together.
Each element’s center would be equipped for a detailed room or utility likewise kitchen, bedroom or exercise room. The wheel accurately moves, and with the change in location of the module, the function also changes. Case in point: whilst cooking, the couch behaves like a ceiling with dining table turning into a wall. The Wet Cell territory of the spinning wheel accommodates the bathroom along with toilet, shower and bath. One has a liberty to basically spin the module to exploit one of the conveniences. This seems like an resourceful discovery for those having dearth of space.

A new concept is ready to hit your mind and its elite theory aim s at not only hitting but dominating it. Called the Local River, it is a creation by a French designer Mathieu Lehanneur and stands upon the theory of domestic “refrigerator-aquarium†that raises freshwater fish for eating and grows vegetables simultaneously. In layman terms, it can be defined as aquaponic kitchen gardens with integrated fish tank. It can be seen as a perfect replacement of ornamental ‘TV aquarium’ by a life-sized ‘refrigerator-aquarium’. For this particular design, Mathieu takes inspiration from a San Francisco based group known as the Locavores who eat foods grown within a 100-mile radius of their city to diminish their impact on the surroundings.

The project enables people to grow their own food at home and thus the growing vegetables in floating pots assures purification of water by eliminating nitrates and other reserves. The concept will be demonstrated at the Artists Space Gallery in New York from 25 April. Well, saying how early it can be devised is not possible now but we are hoping seeing it installed in various homes in near future.
