It has been a known fact that human beings have been trying to reconcile with the phenomenon of life and death for ages. The desire to be immortal has led to many new inventions in the field of science and technology. Artists deal with this trauma in an entirely new form- by creating a piece of work that remains immortal even after they are no more. Swarovski designer Quinn Gregory has decided to fight with his destiny by creating a rare piece of art that he wants to be remembered for. He came up with the idea of making Swarovski-studded skulls when he was diagnosed with a fatal heart disease. So, he turned to this art to deal with the realities of death and the inexpressible aura surrounding it.
Perhaps he was taking inspiration from Yeats who wrote about the golden immortal bird. Gregory has taken a hollow skull of a woman and given artistic life to an inanimate skull.
He has decorated the skull with white Swarovski crystals and redone the eyes with blue sapphires. The price for these rare beauties start with $3,000 and have more than 8000 Swarovski pieces on each hear.

Who said accessories are only for women to adorn? For all the elite & affluent men out there, here’s your next indispensable purchase. Using the same ancient layering techniques as the Crusaders’ swords, Hommage, the Parisian purveyor of luxury grooming equipment, skincare and spa services for men, has created a limited edition, platinum-sheathed straight razor. Called the Damascene Razor, the blade is hand-forged in Germany with 128 layers of legendary Damascene steel, with a rose and torsion pattern. The name Damascene is itself attributed to the steel swords made in the vicinity of Damascus, Syria which gained its mythical reputation during the medieval Crusades and was said to be able so strong enough as to be able to cut through a rock without losing its sharpness.”
The sheath of the blade is plated in pure platinum, treated to resist tarnishing and the razor is shipped in a lacquered gift box of Tanzanian anigré wood. So next time, garnish yourself with the smooth & honeyed shaving experience with the novel platinum razor.

Diamonds are forever and gold is man’s favorite metal. If we add a little ‘music’ to these precious elements, we would get the TrekStor ‘i.Beat Organix Gold’ MP3 player which was originally made for a Russian-Canadian billionaire. Apparently this is the world’s most expensive MP3 player and costs a shocking £15,000. It is rather funny how people love the bling and there is no exception to race, gender and age when it comes to the yellow metal and diamonds. With about 63 diamonds studded in the 18-karat gold cast, this MP3 player will surely grab anybody’s attention.
Imagine listening to music on this MP3 player when you go hang out with friends in that special place. You could make all your peeps squeal in envy. You literally will shine for as long you are there, and no man or woman can take away the glitter from you, unless you don’t care about prying eyes.
However, make sure you have an equally flashy club or stick to carry with you, in case someone gets too friendly with your ‘i.Beat Organix Gold’ MP3 player.

I think that art can be done with a piece of clay also. It does not have to be Swarovski or pearls to be called an artistic creation. With pleasure, I am going to tell you about Jon Kuhn and his latest piece of art. Jon is a leading glass artist, who has recently joined hands with the Bösendorfer to make a glass piano using various types of glass work. It has nearly two hundred intricate designs in which more than one fifty pieces have been used in every design. That means that it uses more than 3000 glittering pieces of gorgeous glass. Coming for $1.2 million, that is not very modest but then its art!

The latest buzz in the automobile world is that some anonymous gentle man has decided to sell his old Bugatti Type 41 Royale for nothing less than $10 million! Iwas shocked when I read that, will my pice of junk be allowed to sell this high? But when I read further I realised that we are not talking of any ordinary piece but an extremely rare design manufactured by Ettore Bugatti. The story of the birth of the car is interesting enough to deserve a space here. It began in 1920s when Bugatti was in the process of finalising a deal with French military to build 16-cylinder aircraft engines. Some how, the contract failed but it germinated the idea of a big engine car in Bugatti’s mind.
The model in question seems to belong to a Japanese client of London’s Bonham & Brooks. They have been directed to sell the vehicle for at least $10 million. Let’s see the big game and see how much it catches at the auction!
