Just with a mere click of a mouse, this room can revolve at 180 degrees - from cherished dialogue to big screen amusement. To utilize the most out of home theater space, a Tennessee family has lately installed a revolutionary floor that swivels the obverse seats 180 degrees to visage the second row, thereby offering a more natural setting for recreation.

This 16-foot revolving spherical floor is power-driven by four motors and restricted via remote. The theater door is also monitored by remote and can be folded from the floor in 12 sections plus looks like a Chinese hand fan. Casa Cinema takes pride in offering an elite theater design while Visual Concepts takes care of installation.

The inclined walls at this space provide some acutely reverberant acoustics. Visual impression also presents absorptive fiberglass acoustical panels that look like ornamental elements when hung upon side walls. It enables monitoring of sound from the 7.1-channel audio system power-driven by a Marantz SR8500 receiver pumping 125 watts to Atlantic Technology 4200 series speakers. All the illumination, including LEDs (light-emitting diodes) adjoining the spinning floor, on the maximum and beneath the staircase is monitored by a Lutron system.

Come the news about release of any new flick, everyone runs towards their nearest theater or go ahead with online booking. Rest is houseful within no time. And this kills my opportunity to watch first day first show. Well, an honest confession I am not all that keen for the same. I may love to watch even an age-old flick with my beloved rather than fishing for a ticket for over-populated hall.
And lately I realized I can afford to do all this while sitting at my home by installing outdoor drive-in theater in my backyard. What a fun enjoying popcrorn and champagne with your loved ones, with no fear of getting disturbed by any unwanted presence. The much-in-use Backyard Drive-In features movies, video games, sports events and corporate presentations at its ultra-large outdoor movie screen. Measuring over 10 feet (W) and 6 feet (H), it offers a memorable theater experience to its audience. If you are looking for a much larger screen then you can keep your fingers upon one with 13 feet (W) X 9 feet (H). The price varies from $1049-$1449 depending upon the model you pick.

The very mention of an exclusive home theatre rotates the eye lids of movie buffs who can’t afford to extract time out of their busy schedule, cribs about the same and finds rescue in feature packed home-theater. But human curiosity can never be satisfied and they keep on expecting something better than the available. Beating the earlier Extreme-spa home theater and $300k Goldmunds media room, today we have a unique offering for you. I can’t take this argument its better than the existing home theaters but surely I can vouch for its uniqueness.

Identified as Batcave Home Theater, its theme and design reside very well to its name. Designed by New Hampshire-based installer DC Audio Video Systems, the set-up comprises of prop bats which hang from top with a built-in motorized 110″ 16:9 Stewart Electriscreen, Triad Silver THX Speakers, and a Sony G90, a $36,000 commercial 1080p 2500 x 2000 CRT projector. Surprising but attracting your senses, the room features eight black, motorized leather recliners and a LiteTouch LC5000 System for Lighting Control. I admire the dark gothic ambience.

It took almost five-years for the final completion of the China’s National Grand Theater. Now the theatre has started offering trial performance from 25 September, welcoming its constructors and inhabitants to be its first honored guests.

The USP of this much talked-about masterpiece is its elliptical form. The mastermind behind this enterprising and novel creation is a French architect Paul Andreu. Positioned in the centre of the capital, the innovative theater evolves like an island amidst the lake.
The theater flaunts three colossal halls - a 2,416-seat opera house, a 2,017-seat concert hall and a 1,040-seat theater. The huge “bubble”, coated with 20,000 titanium panels and 1200 laminated glass panels is anticipated to be honored as the China’s top arts performance centre.

Around 23 tests including ballets, operas and dramas are scheduled to happen on this new facility from 25 September-13 October. Among the highlight is the play “Teahouse” and the opera “Peony Pavilion” that is not disclosed to the public. A general fine tuning will follow the testing. The first public concert in the theater is planned at the year-end.

The very entry into the theater is enthralling as you will be crossing the 80-meter tunnel, engulfed by the flickering water adding beauty to the translucent roof. The golden-hued opera house can accommodate 2,000 spectators. The sound quality of one corner of the theater is competitive to the other.

Five Amplifiers: $163,000 (By Krell)
Pre-Amplifier: $54,500 (By Mark Levinson)
