For someone who loves both design and sarcasm (Or maybe a very cruel kind of humor, at times), this little watch is the best piece of design we have seen in sometime. The ‘Cycle Life’ watch designed by Andy Kurovets is one of the best designs that plays off of lives of so many out there whose lives are centered around work and wholly lost in money making by rushing to their PC each day. This goes for people with various jobs, yet one boring box in front of them all day.

Diamonds will be history soon all thanks to a Swiss watcmaker who is claiming to have created watches under brand name Yvan Arpa using moon dust, parts of the Apollo 11 rocket and bits of spacesuits. Wow, what a cool way to stand apart from 599 Swiss watchmakers!
The use of ‘inaccessible materials’ really does make Geneva-based Romain Jerome’s watches a hot property vis-a-vis rivals like Richemont’s Vacheron Consantin and Patek Philippe, that too in the global economic slowdown.

The traditional wrist watch is in for a makeover, quite a trend that has hit the times and is a hit too! Makeovers are the order of the day and designer Joel Williams and Anthony Mapstone have for us a time-telling bracelet! This new concept watch from Clogau Gold is very interesting because the band that you would wear will actually tell the time, the band itself being the watch.
An entry to a Welsh competition to design jewelry intended at the middle aged woman, the working of this watch is not very accurate to the minute but since when did we monitor seconds? Having 12 interchangeable sections, the wearer could adjust it to match the outfit or simply one’s own sense! Each section has two lights one to tell the hour and the other to light up every 5 minutes. From this, you can read the time by reading the Roman Numerals above the lights.

Having that very special watch which is one of a kind is not something everyone gets to feel yet every guy dreams of having. A watch really adds or takes away from the personality of an individual depending on its style and class. The Louis Moinet Magistralis Watch has more than just style, class and amazing technology put into it. The watch comes with tradition, timeless craftsmanship and a piece of the Universe that is as rare to find as this watch itself. A piece of a 2000 year-old lunar meteorite is part of the mechanism inside this one-of-a-kind Louis Moinet Magistralis watch.

Mixing technology and philosohy together could sometimes be prety confusing. Like who would have thought of a watch that’s meant to keep rack of time could well plan your future? When a company says that they are making “one-of-a-kind” piece, then you better be sure before spending a fortune on it. Maybe you would want to make sure that there is no exact replica of what you bought, but I guess there is no sure way to find out. In 2001 Vianney Halter created a project called “Faces of Time” which also included a one-of-a-kind watch. For that one, Halter imagined and realized a very special timepiece that was called “Satellarium” due to his very special shape. Apparently this watch was delivered to Goldpfeil in 2001 and sold.

Talk about technology going retro! If you thought gadgets and gizmos would only take you into the future well, think again. Who would have thought of Steampunk and Bluetooth together? Nicrosin has come up with a Victorian-style Bluetooth device which is powered solely by winding and should be mass produced. His creations are a compilation of sculpey and watch parts lined with leather for comfort. Wondering what you might hear- voice from the calling end or the winding chimes of the clockwork? Though it might look like it will drill your ear through, rest assured as the prop is fully adjustable and flexible and what’s more, one actually gets the dissection of the piece! Though covering it up might just be a better option lest dust interferes!
This might not be just everybody’s type of Bluetooth but if you are in any way fascinated by steampunk and would like to find yourself in a Steampunk alternate reality, you just might be able to use this baby to call your favorite Steampunk Droid!. So wind up your minds about it! Are you are still wondering about he caller hanging up while you are winding it up?
