Volitan: A Green Concept Boat Or Flying Fish?
Posted in Designer, Luxury, Yacht on 15 November 2007

Volitan

Volitan is a designer creation by Turkish design firm Designnobis Studio. Is it an installed masterpiece or a child toy? Well don’t dare to think it either of them as this is a lightweight, revolutionary, and green concept yacht that floats using solid sails, wind energy and solar power. Literally it means ‘flying fish.’

Her very personae looks like a fish with her sails down. The utility of the Volitan is managed and optimized by a systematized computer. The solid sails, which are prepared with dual layer of solar cell boards, are used to harness both wind and solar energy.

Volitan

Whilst if the sea turns rough, then boat’s wings fold up against the boat, but there is nothing to worry as because the Volitan is engineered to operate up to 60 knot winds. Moreover, the ultramodern boat is all set to swerve the dime and the credit for this goes to its two smaller stabilizer wings. Going green is considered ‘in’ and as a result this has to dominate the minds of uber-rich. But you have to wait a while to see if this concept turns into reality or not.

5b809b9f.gifSomeone has rightly said the identity of the successful person gets recognized when he is asked for autograph rather than signature. In Blogosphere, the dialysis occurs when a blog gets mature from a label of a baby blog to the pedestal of a majestic presence. Right on the heels of my expectations, I have managed to crack 500 posts (on EliteChoice) within less than a year (with first post on 9 January).

Ideally I should feature myself with a goblet of champagne but I take the opportunity to introduce my internal spirit to you. This two-legged beast is my mirror image who knows the right direction and cherish past with a present energy and looks forward to ink bigger deals in life (in terms of value as size doesn’t make a difference).

Besides my journalistic profession, I was committed to my bloggers’ desk throughout this year and never intended to beat big sharks like Luxist, LuxuryLaunches, UberGizmo, ShinyShiny, Bornrich, UberReview, Blavish and others but am glad that I earned the deserving recognition from them. Also, a three-month-young network with Elite Fashion Blog Bazaar Community is quite satisfying.

It was an exciting journey to chronicle the world of elite products and break the news on the board, respecting the prerequisite of a journalist and curiosity of my faithful readers. Gluing to my very first post that outlined the purpose of my blog, I am happy to set various laurels in that direction and am geared up to offer an unbeatable common-sense perspective on important topics/ products and events of the day.

I am glad to share with you that the onset of 2008 would mark our first anniversary with a lot more unique features on the cards. And yah from today I am all set to offer next 500 posts coming thick and fast.

This Time Three Cheers To Me And My Love:)

Giant Dragon Boat

While earlier the news of Zhang Lianzhis spending $65 mn to design a beautiful ceramic house came to me as shock of my life, today Chinese has given me another alarm. If by any chance you visit the ongoing 2007 Jingdezhen International Ceramic Fair happening in Jingdezhen, then you can feel the first-hand experience of the giant boat made up of ceramics only.

Giant Dragon Boat

I am not joking, festooned with porcelain this giant dragon boat features Olympic patterns, five Olympic rings, national flags, and also athletes are featured on the boat. The finish product is the result of almost six-years of investment by the producer. I doubt its price as there the fine-production deserves acclaim more than mere money. Hats Off to China!
