The increasing traffic jams has led to the birth of double-digits figures in every field. Be it fuel-cost, health hazards, waste of time leading to financial lose but the advancement in technology has addressed this problem as well and has reflected the possibility of developing flying cars. This singular solution, whenever becomes functional would be an answer to piled up problems. An established name in the filed of home computers and electric cars Sir Clive Sinclair believes technology required to produce flying cars is available. It is now economically and technically possible to develop flying cars for individuals that can be mechanically controlled as not all of us can learn to fly.

Posted in Automobile, Designer on 2 July 2008

Horse Trainer
Now here you have an alternative to the routine exercise of hitting horse’s asses as Roush has developed a sedan with a rear-mounted chalet for the eloquent purpose of hauling a crew of three. On first glimpse, it seemed no less than an antique piece designed ages-ago but to my much-surprise it is the latest offering by Roush Technologies for Turkish-based Kurt Systems (racehorse and camel training Equipment Company). Aimed at training horses for races, it enables trainers to stay nearby animals while schooling them and examining their critical signs. It’s defined and restricted speed ranges from walking to 60kph.

Very often visible on the road, the vehicle features an open front booth allowing the animal to run with a suspension partially F-150 based and power supplied by Volvo’s 2.4-liter five-cylinder engine captivated up to a routine diffusion and driving. The vehicle is expected to undergo production very soon.

The Roll-A-Bout: A Substitute To Crutches And Wheelchair
Posted in Automobile on 1 July 2008

The Roll-A-Bout

The Roll-A-Bout SW-500 (featured above) is the Roll-A-Bout Corporation’s flagship product designed and developed for people tormented with a lower leg wound. Now they can shun their crutches or even wheelchair and ride on this model. The SW-500 support up to 500 lbs and is touted as company’s first creation with steering functionality.
It is suggestible that the ‘hopping’ movement offered via Roll-A-Bout is beneficial than the ‘swinging’ motion of the crutches. But eyebrows are raised regarding the comfort left of this model.

I am assuming it to be better than wheelchair as it keeps the rest of the body in active state. The standard SW-500 model is retailed at $599, while an ATV or ‘off-road’ edition costs $739! And the fancy wire basket inserted on the face of the model demands an extra $15.

Amphibious VehicleÂ
Amphibious concepts are a near reality now and thanks to the creative spark within designers who think wild to unveil out-of-the-box creations. Whilst Amphibious PC concept created a buzz around blogosphere with little clue that it would soon the chased by a concept of a graceful amphibious coupe recalling the age of science fiction. But registering an exception is this revolutionary amphibious vehicle design for the year 2030 by Jorge Cross. Riding on three-wheels, the sedan narrows a single ball at its obverse that revolves 90° to divulge a propeller or tire, considering your mode of travel on land or water.

Its elegant carcass design was a revision for Cross on the hypothesis of hydrodynamics and how they impact anautomobile’s contour. Jorge Cross is a student at the University of Monterrey in Nuevo León, Mexico.

Ozone: A Fanatical Hydrogen-Powered Coupe Concept
Posted in Automobile, Concept, Designer on 28 June 2008

Ozone

It’s time to bid farewell to those traditional forms of automobile design and welcome the contemporary or rather revolutionary offering called Ozone. Designed and developed by Istanbul designer Özkan Koral, the rolling canister is a potential concept devised for a Peugeot hydrogen-powered coupe with every wheel equipped with the feature of self-regulation by electric motors. Monitored by a joystick, the front of the car opens up when the door rotates beneath.

Ozone

The car exterior features semi-transparent windows. Not to be a curmudgeon, but I’d abhor changing its colossal tires. Further the hydrogen fuel-cell driven vehicles may continue to convince until you begin calculating the weight it would put on your wallet. But enjoying an edge over the cost is its appeal that gives it a green signal to be adapted to plug in.

Posted in Automobile, Car, Eco-friendly on 24 June 2008

Antro Solo

The Antro Solo gas-electric hybrid is an appealing blend of futuristic fashionable standards and primordial expertise. Besides a wide range of solar panels, it is powered by an electric motor at the top of the vehicle plus there is a pair of pedals installed in front of passengers comfortable on the three-seater to enhance the motor. The interesting cabin décor allows both the passengers sit on either side of the driver. Eccentric or not, the Antro Solo executes: it’s light, carbon fiber framework keeps it’s load down at 600 pounds, and it can ride at 80 mph while getting an enormous 150 mpg.

Antro Solo

It clearly indicates that for travelling from New York City to Los Angeles, it will consume less than 19 gallons of gas. It rides whilst storing the solar energy in batteries to boost the coupes’ efficiency. Well, for now the vehicle is just a prototype but word is around that by 2012, it would be a developed model demanding a cost of $18,000.
