Call them coffins or couches; they very well deserve this tag. I somehow have a deep inclination for weird stuff especially furniture accessory. Days back, I put across alien furniture and now this Coffin Couch worth $4,500 each would surely compliment them.

Designed using recycled 18 gauge steel coffins; the raw material was gathered from local funeral homes based in Southern California. Against the health and safety law that doesn’t allow funeral homes to resell used coffins, these coffins were sold to public as the idea of recycling sound quite interesting.
These coffins cannot be used for burial purpose due to some aesthetic discrepancies. It was that recycled coffin that underwent a sm,all process of refining and the result is elegant coffin couches.

The yearly Kips Bay Decorator Show House started in New York on 24 April and will run through 22 May. To my utter surprise, around 22 designers would be using this as a platform and are provided with six apartments at The Manhattan House, 200 East 66th Street to participate in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House. For the first time in the history of 36 years, the show is being held in an apartment building rather than a town house. In coming days I would be updating you with designer credits. Tickets for the show would cost you $30.
Some interesting stuff direct from 2008 Kips Bay Decorator Show:

An Audi-design prototype chandelier hangs above a table in the Daniel Boulud kitchen. Also, the artwork of Caceres + Miranda designed by Geoffrey Bradfield is quite interesting. Simon Horn crib, configured here for a toddler, sits on display in a children’s room designed by Bograd Kids. A teak torso of drawers with superimposed silver breeds luxury. The BKH-designed living rooms, modern furniture, including a Vladimir Kagan sofa are amongst the attraction of the Show House.

A Vic Muniz drawing of chef Daniel Boulud hung in a Kitchen designed by Daniel Boulud and Rita-Louisa Garces.
The wavering 60’s chicks room, designed by Ellen Ward Scarborough Ltd. Is mind blowing. Sculpture by Jean Arp (R) features well in a therapist’s room designed by S. Russell Groves. Another elite attraction was chairs designed by Stephen Miller Siegel which have upholstered in horsehair fabric. Lastly, a bedroom suite designed by White Webb is worth a pick.

I think the die-hard DJ-kings would agree with me that it’s not only the inborn talent but also the ambience that makes the difference to deliver an elite breed of remixes. The product I am taking about would satiate your longing for certain ‘XYZ’ craze that is unconsciously missing. The hows, whys and whichs of the remixes process can truly mar or make a mood but the place where you position your turntables and mixers can also address volumes of your dynamic personality.
Designed by German David Kornmann, Hoerboard is a complete solution to all the worries of DJs. DJ Workstation is a personalized platform that offers you the freedom to position all your gears nattily. Developed out of MDF/Multiplex corpus, you can always ask for high quality coating or toughened lacquered surface to ensemble your way. At the same time, a hard-edged lacquer/varnish exterior assures that it doesn’t leave any stains from the party drinks.
Perceptibly the invited gang can’t help but visit your station with flowing glasses of cocktails and mocktails and making you feel blessed by slipping kisses for heartthrob mixes. The presence of this elite workstation would convey lively vibes, thereby offering a magical evening.
The vertical structure of the turntables offers all mixing- and scratching-space one needs whereas the horizontal position in the archetypal style is made for any conservative spinning-style. For those, who want none of these kinds can opt for a mountable crystal-clear acryl clip for notebook.
