Stefan Buchberger’s design reminds me of my university days when I was living with a few classmates. Its not as if I am a sucker for cleanliness but I dearly wanted a germ free refrigerator but could never manage it, thanks to my room mates who would keep mouldy bread and sour fruits in the fridge making it nearly impossible to use the common fridge. Himself a student at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Buchberger has created a modular fridge unit for the Electrolux Design Lab competition 2008 that lets you use a refrigerator on a multiple sharing basis. The fridge comes in various modules that have separate doors much like your rack in the university. So now you have a choice to clean (or keep dirty) your refrigerator as per your convenience. I can predict that this product is going to be a real heartthrob among the students once it hits the shelves.

Literally speaking refrigerators has no exclusivity if they restrict their persona to their customary cooling effect. I always wonder if manufacturers can take a step ahead by accommodating draught beer system or would have masked corner for secret office drink parties. And to mu much anticipation, the Sub-Zero models comes laden with power-packed features and their novel offering exemplifies that. The incorporated NASA designed filtration system refills the air every 20 minutes after purging bacteria, whiffs, and infinitesimal contaminants.
It is a clear indication that food will stay fresher for a longer period of time, thereby erasing the possibility of your fridge producing foul smell. The integrated fridge series is anticipated to hit the market soon in a variety of forms. Well, we don’t have any information about its pricing.

There is no dearth of potential kitchen concepts and adding to the list of Mobile Kitchen prototype and kitchen workstation is Solaris Kitchen designed and developed by an Italian company Ernestomeda. What invited my attention is its elegant design and water pipe protection design that resembles the human skeleton. This interesting creation by Pietro Arsio reminds me of the European contemporary and design. On first glance, the flawless Corian material structure may seem to feature a smooth aerodynamic surface with a connected backsplash. It seems to add weight to our wild imagination of developing a space that incarnates the two main utilities i.e. preparation and consumption of food.
The sporting lamp right above the sink features an opaline glass screen, positioned on a steel tube-shaped rod that emanates subtle light. A ceramic hob houses four cooking zones and a drawer unit. The container on 4 swivel wheels with integrated drawers and pullout basket offers enough space to professional chefs to enjoy cooking experience.

If that sustainable kitchen concept by Altera Design Studio seems a too-far reality to you and the mobile kitchen concept fails to convince you (as cannot compensate your lack of culinary skills) then dig into the Pandigital Kitchen Technology Center (KTC). Aimed at offering a complete blend of functionality and amusement, the touchscreen device functions right on the touch of your fingers. Now your need for a recipe can be can be fulfilled here substituting the dumb process of going back to study accessing Internet on going through that thick book of recipes by ‘XYZ’ chef.
The device comes laden with a numerous recipes and offers you access to cruise the net update it here only. But cooking in a scary silence can be really demanding, hence it offers you an ambiance rejuvenated with music via its one gigabyte of memory where you can plug in your MP3s along with photos and video. The KTC features 15 inch, 1280×720 screen also supports HDTV playback. So, if you realize the emptiness of this hi-tech device in your gadget-packed abode then wait for a month more as it is expected to hit the market in August for $400. It would be no less than a centralized headquarters for all the electronic products (blenders, refrigerators).

If that compilation of top11 bejeweled home furnishings was too pricey a deal for you then you can settle at less in terms of dough but no compromise at feature front. U.K-ites are hoping to have John Lewis to states to keep intact with his latest kitchen offerings’. Whilst last year, John unveiled a refrigerator-based wine cellar and today we are enthralled to witness its “Ultimate Kitchen Combo.” The integrated 4-in-1 system houses an electric oven, a steam oven, a wall-mounted coffee machine plus a 19-inch LCD TV.
Agreed, there are much more imposing offerings than this nut considering the simple appeal and its fall into your not-so-deep pocket make it stand above the rest.
Well, it $4,500, it seems to be a quite intelligent deal with a hope if John can replace one of the four segments for a gaming console??

I have a great amount of respect and adoration for products with oxymoron features. And try my level best not to skip the inventions of similar nature. Folowing religiously here is a designer kitchen island by Stefan Price that sports cold and hot, black and white, dark and light, peace and wild aspects of a Chinese cooking. Designed for kitchen whiz Evitavonni, its appeal is a clear indication of the renowned Ying Yang icon with the black geography housing the hob and oven (Yang) while the other pole spreads peace by accommodating the sink, fridge and other things connected with cooling (Ying).
Some may call it luxury whilst others may tag it as extravagance, but it is designed to address a new meaning to the world of oriental cooking. The revolutionary design would serve you with delicious Chinese menu and is smart enough to reside in the hi-end abode as the demanding price of £102,577 won’t allow it enter any ordinary household.
