Camping could never be so comfortable before. You never know the new Tonke Camper may become the reason for those further extended stays in the rough terrain or perhaps even a road trip across the world. Holland manufacturers have come up with this ultra-cool camping van, that promises to give you a dose of comfort in the middle of nowhere.
The look of Tonke Camper is oxymoronic to say the least. Reason? Well, the outer body will give you the impression of a very basic camping facility but the interiors will have your jaw dropping to the floor. The trailer is just as comfy and inviting as your home. Loaded with a small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and a cozy sitting area, don’t be surprised when you perhaps would want to shift lodgings to this dream abode permanently. The strongest point of Tonke Camper is that the entire trailer can be dismantled and be used as a guest room or extra office space.

The manufacturers claim that the inspiratin for Tonke Camper came from old yachts and gypsy caravans. Available in two models, Explorer (just right for the Renault Master Van) and Fieldsleeper (designed for the Mercedes Sprinter), the modern camping car can be yours at € 70,000 (starting range). If the price is a little too high, do not worry because this trailer can very easily be rented out at around € 500 per week, when not in use.

You love camping, but your best friend loves his comfort zone more than the rough nature. But now you can persuade him to partner you in ‘Glamping’! Meant truly for those who love a little bit of both the worlds, Glamping is glamorous camping where after roughing it you get to retire in luxury’s lap.
The New York Times recently profiled this new trend and a few glamping venues which offer a mix of amenities ranging from tepees to antique dressers, all stressing a strong eco-conscious theme. Amenities vary depending on where you go, but many glamping packages include things like big, plush beds in your tent, personal butlers, gourmet food, wi-fi internet access, spa services (in a tent), and top shelf wine, liquor, cigars, etc. Rates start around $695 a night for a couple and can go as high as $50,000 a week for a family.
Call it nature on a silver plate, venues in Europe, Canada and the US. One of the most luxurious glamping sites is Paws Up in Montana where campers stay in cabins or tents, “complete with king-sized beds and art on the walls, a personal butler and private master bath (though it is a short walk away). Surrender to the soft nature!

A true show of luxury on the waters was witnessed at the Monaco Yacht Show in Monte Carlo this past weekend. Going by the indulgence of the super riches, this show was just their type. An estimated $4.5 billion worth of yachts on display none of which were less than 100 ft, of the 98 crafts on exhibit. The show stealer was Anastasia worth $200 millions!
True to its worth, it’s rumored that this luxury yacht belongs to Vladimir Potanin, the 25th richest man in the world! Some dandy he could be, going by the extravagant features of the yacht.
Completed by a leading Dutch shipyard Oceanco for the Russian billionaire, the Anastasia features six decks, luxe quarters for 12 passengers and 20 crew members including a duplex master suite, a ten seat cinema, a discotheque with a laser light display and smoke machine, an artificial coral reef and 800-gallon fish tank, a swimming pool with a transparent wall, a sunbathing platform which converts into a stage for live music, a library upholstered in crocodile skin, and a hanger full of speedboats and jet skis.
Now this is what self indulgence all about! The world may go kaput with their finance handlings yet if you belong to those who need not bother about credit crunch, then this yacht is already worth more than what it was paid for by Potanin. Heavy pampering guarantee plus a whale of time once invited, if you are a dear friend of the owner off course!

Royalty in ancient India played a form of Chess called Shatranj. Sadly, all they had was silk cloth board and usual dice. If they knew about the latest artistic investment in the game of Chess, they would have been amazed. For instance, The Art Of War board and dice, designed by Victor F. Scharstein. Imagine rhodium and gold chess pieces dancing at your command on a decked up ebony board.
Every piece is tastefully decorated with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and other precious stones. Even the legs of the board are all gold- having eight all gold balls. It will be priced at nearly $50,000. It is said that all other parts of the game such as the lock and the key, the hinges and the handle are made of gold. I can imagine how much motivation a thief will have to break open the lock and get away with it.
My other concern is that of functionality itself. Would not so much of glitter distract the attention away from the game? But may be that is also a positive point if you twist the argument a little.
Now you can call your friends for a game of Chess and win every game as they would be too busy admiring the glitter and gold to play the game seriously, at least the first few times! If, after all my convictions, this game piece does not appeal to you, check out the subtle yet classy transparent chess set here.
