There are people who would simply buy what is in vogue. The result is that every person walking across Hyde Park would have the same thing with them. Then there would be others who like exclusivity. For the latter ones, Nokia has launched its latest craft-piece called the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte. It has interesting materials in the making such as carbon fibre, titanium, polished glass and stainless steel to give it an arty look. But the USP of the product is that it is in 24k yellow gold makes it a sheer pleasure to see and hold.
At £2099, it is not a high price to pay considering the brand value of Nokia, the original design of the product and the fact that it is hand tailored in England. I particularly like the looks of gold on Black which reminds me of a beautiful speckled snake. It is so classy and unisex that it will appeal to both men and women!

Wine drinking couldn’t be so tasteful and tantalising before. For starters, Swiss artist Sylvie Fluery has conceptualised a pair of limited edition crystal wine classes for Dom Pérignon. Well, the shape of the glasses has the same seductive elegance but with a sexy twist. Each comes with its own hand printed lipstick mark. That pretty much explains the title ‘Stolen Kisses’.
Expecting to be a collector’s item, each pair of glasses comes duly signed and numbered accompanied by a bottle of Dom Pérignon’s Rosé Vintage 1998. And there are only 999 of them available, which indicates a fleeting appearance in the markets.
So, if you want to be the proud owner of a pair. Keep 600 dollars ready in your purse and a spring in your step because only that will help you survive the long wait outside the select showrooms. Yep, the demand for ‘Stolen Kisses’ is already high.

This could bring about a new revolution in the whole restaurant menu/payment ritual. EPOS-lite is a concept yet to become a reality, but once it does the world of outside food will be very different. The developers say that this device can be given to each diner who will select their order from the menu flashing on the EPOS-lite screen, which will be displayed on a screen in front of the chef. So, there will be no more waiting for that elusive waiter.
Even the payment can be handled by the same instrument. After dinner, you can enter information about dishes you ordered and pay with your plastic money like you do online. This will save you any worries that arise when your card disappears for a good 10 minutes into the hands of complete strangers.
Not only this, the wireless EPOS-lite even recharges itself when placed on the tabletop. Wow, won’t it be super cool to bypass the wait staff completely!

Just a concept for now, the Airborne Hotel also known as abh, is creating a flutter in the skies with its impending application. It’s an innovative seating system for wide-body aircraft that optimizes the available cabin space in the lines of double-decker system. Roomy and ensuring a fully-reclining seat-bed for every passenger on board, this concept maintains and even increases the passenger capacity of an aircraft. Entry for the ‘Create the Future Design Contest’ this is conceptualized by a team of Mexican-based designers and engineers.
The design’s functionality is based on the bi-level configuration of its seating modules, which enables the utilization of the otherwise empty overhead space in an aircraft cabin. . This kind of modular system will offer luxurious freedom without throwing its weight on the aircraft because the modules’ honeycomb structure enables the use of lighter materials Not exactly a luxury concept but then who said that comfort isn’t luxury?
With such well designed seating options, air-travelers can chuck their “crammed space woes” outside the aircraft’s cabin. Here’s for passengers to get a more comfortable flight, without their airfares skyrocketing.

Believing in the philosophy that “the driver connects with the vehicle in the same way a rider connects with his horse”, Arturo Peralta believes to have manufactured a vehicle that recognises you, is able to feel, to trust: it is almost a part of you. The Bentley SenseS is a design study of a futuristic vehicle that explores the possibilities of genetic engineering, biotechnology and artificial intelligence in order to create a deep connection between the car and its owner. The car uses artificial intelligence to respond to the driver’s presence, such as pulsing a light to the user’s heartbeat, and to operate the vehicle’s in-wheel electric motors. The driver uses reins rather than a conventional steering wheel for directional inputs. Made using vast expanses of glass, the Senses employs a new design language for Bentley.
The exterior shape is made of a solid hologram technology that creates a solid surface between the feature lines of the vehicle when it is in standby mode waiting to set off. Once inside, it offers the passengers an interface to all senses providing a unique experience.
Channels flow around and through the interior carrying and creating the energy that powers the vehicle. So, Bentley SenseS, is one car sure to give you a feeling that it understands you.
