News is eBay would be scheduling an auction of one of four original T.I.E. Fighter models used while filming of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. If you are missing on the origin of the Fighter then it is the one that was attentively crashed with Darth Vader and permitted Luke to blow up the Death Star, assembled from resin and cannibalized parts picked from numerous model kits. Gold Mirror Lense

Wanting to have Golden eyes? Here you go! The timeless Wayfarer from Italy’s super lately got blessed with a golden touch from Zeiss lenses. Featured above is a limited edition of the handcrafted frames that hold gold mirror lenses.  The “24K Gold Lenses” available in a black and a white frame fail to gather my attention as I would love to go with plain frames and also don’t have enough dough to take pride in holding one. Like I always say, luxury never comes cheap and hence the lenses here also know their worth and therefore demand $18,165. Sure thing, for carrying such glitzy lenses one needs to have bold personality as well!

Posted in Designer, Fashion, Luxury, Luxury Brands, Worlds Most Expensive on 30 July 2008

This space pays tribute to all random opulent thingamajigs and taking a customary call on this, today we would like to introduce you with the world’s most expensive necktie that got unveiled in 2003. No, the news is not stale as it has made up to the headlines with the recent update. Designed by Satya Paul and the Suashish Diamond Group, the silk base of the tie carried by Salman Khan comes festooned with 261 diamonds weighing 77 carats and 150 grams of gold and was valued at Rs1 crore in 2003. Lately, a revision in its cost has happened and it is being discovered that the cost of the necktie has now risen to Rs10 million or $220,000. Gawd, I wonder if ordinary folks besides celebrities and industry moguls can afford to buy one or would they find themselves restricted to window shopping? Well, if you ask me then spending this many such creations may seem a routine for people with big pockets but I would like to go with a plain silk tie with a diamond chip layering or gold lining.

With enough amount of money to burn, the In-flight showers from Emirates is now being seen as an excuse by folks owning fat bank balances to enjoy a ride. Undoubtedly, the world’s best airline, proclaimed “shower spas” service, which will offer each of the 14 first-class passengers a five-minute douse in-flight. Substituting numerous airplane bathrooms, the confined stand has integrated traffic lights to make you aware when your five minutes bathe is over. To offer this deluxe comfort, the airliner is loaded with over 1000 pounds worth of water with little adding to the cost of Airliner Company as fortunate and desiring passengers are ready to spill over $9374 for a plane ticket and mind you the shower cannot be counted as mere half of the profligacy.

Each of those seated 14 first-classers will have a private suite featuring remote-controlled doors, mini bar, work desk, and a lay-flat bed with incorporated massager. It’s a warm invitation to feel high by enjoying the stay in a five-mile-high club. It would be no exaggeration if we consider U.S airlines new avatar as a cattle car.

Brabus SV12 Biturbo

They may call it the worlds fastest and pricey PC ever developed but on first appeal it is nothing but a standard coupe. Called Brabus SV12 Biturbo, the functionality of the coupe offers a mobile feature to the need of workstation, PC and other sundry thingamajigs. Featuring 211mph, the Brabus SV12 Biturbo can speed up from 0-62mph in just 4 seconds. Exhibited at the British Motor Show, it is accessible via long-wheelbase Mercedes S600 limo along with one of Brabus’ renowned 6.3litre V12 ‘Rocket’ engines, mounting 730bhp, condensed into it. Priced at £270,000, the IT aspect of the motor gathered my attention as the fat sum of £24,726.70 (ex. VAT) for the ‘Business equipment’ defines that concern is merely intellectual.

Brabus SV12 Biturbo

If willing to shell over the fat sum, you may get to access a retractable 15.2in widescreen TFT integrated, an infrared keyboard with touchpad, numerous multimedia screens fitted on the back of the headrests plus a laptop, which appears to be Windows Vista escalated in an electrically activates drawer in the boot. It also comes with incorporated Internet facility, sat nav and a console for a color printer. If lack funds to ink a deal with this deluxe coupe or on-wheels office then would propose you to go for a window shopping.

Lightning’s All-Electric Sports Car Costs £120,000
Posted in Automobile, Car, Luxury on 23 July 2008

All-Electric Sports Car

Those owning a hefty bank balance have every right to know about it. Lightning’s pristine GT, is one of the two motorcars available globally that run on lithium-titanate battery technology. They say novelty facilitates the automobile to go from lifeless to fully charge within minutes albeit you would have to identify that grants three-phase engineering power, so as to count the payback over conventional Li-ion cells. The firm’s Chris Dell claims that it’s demanding cost of £120,000 ($239,400) is well justified by the distinct quick charge tech specks involved. Further, he is hoping to form an association with the UK-based production to ink a deal within motorists can sway by, juice up and be on their way while peripatetic. Those anxious about owning one may have to wait for another one year.
