Whilst in Lewis Carroll’s ‘Through the Looking-Glass,’ follow-up to the applauded ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,’ Alice only worry was to identify what’s on the flipside of mirror and thus continues her search for the same. Following the similar heights of curiosity, designer Yasmin Sethi has taken us to an extreme where there is no end to our speculation of the fact what made Sethi come out with such a delicate and revolutionary creation of a Chess Set. The transparent chess set is devised to enrich your playing experience with a possibility that it may be the shock of the life for scholars in this field i.e. David Blaine and Chris Angel.

After picking up a cylinder and placing it over any random or intelligent square, you would realize they become transparent upon a mere touch.

Whilst months back the evolution of interaction table marked a new revolution with little knowledge that soon it would have to face competition with Interactive Scape, a 58-inch touch surface. The latter one is a replica of the Microsoft Surface table that created much of a buzz but is not available for sale until now. But that doesn’t mean that the existence of interactive products is only till news and doesn’t meet reality. Microsoft TouchWall retailed at $100,000 inked a neat deal at Neimann Marcus. It is a clear indication of the fact that there is no restraint to the production of interactive surface and filthy-rich tech-lovers as well.
Similar to Microsoft offerings’, Interactive Scape allows you to compute touchscreen-style by stirring things around its 1080p touchscreen with your fingers and it is also capable of transferring data to and from cell phones via Bluetooth. A glimpse at the table would make you realize its screaming beauty with its Corian surface slapped with various shades. The German makers behind it are demure about its cost, but the pricey factor attached to it is an indicator that it will first feature at retail point-of-sale applications. Well, the growing technology impact and production of products that stands beyond our imagination claims that Gen X would be using these touch-screen interactive forms on daily basis.
If it fails to convince you then free feel to design your own interactive table via Cubit or bring home the voice recognition table designed for conferences by Kage Roi.

Featured above is a programmed idea-generating boardroom that can be the prerequisite of any brainstorming conference room. Designed by Japanese IT group Kayac, in association with researchers from Keio University in Japan, the system eavesdrops and detects what’s going inside via voice recognition and project the germane statistics on your center table. Called “Kage roi,” the system identifies keywords and search for them, thereby providing a steady stream to each person sitting at the desk.
Outfitted with countless tinted LEDs, the room is capable of altering the lighting effect to reproduce different moods. The half day form replicates the steady shift in illumination as the sun rises and sets making the one seated on the conference table realize the passage of time and meet their deadlines.
On first look, you may sense the robotic affect attached to the table and a hope to your long query if robot can rule the world?

Unlike ordinary pods, the Ovei Pod aims at enhancing your personal entertainment experience but not all can afford to enjoy the company of this opulence. Against open-room speaker systems, the surround effect and the bass sensations produced via this Pod is matchless (likewise earphones offer better fidelity sounds than speakers). Lately unveiled at CEDIA EXPO 2008 , UK, the pod territory offers you enough room to watch, play and relax. Designed and developed by Lee McCormack and engineered by Mclaren Applied Technologies, each capsule is custom-made and hand made considering the customers’ qualifications. The manufacturers claim that the Pod is flexible enough to be installed with any kit varying from a PS3 to Xbox to any media server with an open choice of color and interior.

With no word at feature-front, expecting a vibrating seat and air-conditioned ambiance in lieu of £50,000 is not much. Addressing a higher level of entertainment, the corral will feature the display monitor.

I have a great amount of respect and adoration for products with oxymoron features. And try my level best not to skip the inventions of similar nature. Folowing religiously here is a designer kitchen island by Stefan Price that sports cold and hot, black and white, dark and light, peace and wild aspects of a Chinese cooking. Designed for kitchen whiz Evitavonni, its appeal is a clear indication of the renowned Ying Yang icon with the black geography housing the hob and oven (Yang) while the other pole spreads peace by accommodating the sink, fridge and other things connected with cooling (Ying).
Some may call it luxury whilst others may tag it as extravagance, but it is designed to address a new meaning to the world of oriental cooking. The revolutionary design would serve you with delicious Chinese menu and is smart enough to reside in the hi-end abode as the demanding price of £102,577 won’t allow it enter any ordinary household.

Now it is possible to swerve your keyboard into mousepad via Swiftpoint Slider Mouse. Supporting the “laptop-on-the-go” culture, there are times when you face the space crunch and feels handicap to do justice to your little mice. Realizing this concept has been devised called The ‘Slider,’ that offers accessibility to your mouse over keyboard. For those carrying tablet PCs and multi-touch tabletop surfaces, there is a wise solution for them as well that aims at marring the need of a pen on touch screens.
The Triped Mouse unites the mouse, the touchpad, and the needful digitizer pen into an assembled ergonomic device. They say the amalgamation of mouse and pen utility, with enhanced text steering would make it a superior choice. Incidentally, we cannot see if the argument has any weight until any manufacturer tries his hands over it.

Flagging the novelty proportion, many latest restaurants in U.K. are revising their way of taking orders. Shunning the need of menu card, they are now in a mood to go hi-tech and are welcoming the accessibility of touchscreens that keep the diners engaged while they hang on for their orders. The e-menu form address a higher level of sophistication along with fast and efficient service with no burden on someone standing on your head to take order. And if you are afraid the germs attached to screen, the Israeli-based restaurant Frame (video) assures that a small number of methodical swabs suffice to provide a germ-free screen. But yes, like everything, it also has few drawbacks. There is a possibility that you might be served with a wrong order if customers happen to make errors while placing order.

Nevertheless, functional or not, this new system in dining is inviting eyeballs and is a reason enough to indulge in some grand service.
