They say Korea is an expensive place but I don’t go by prejudices and happen to form my own perception by taking the first-hand experience. But this time I couldn’t have time and wealth to spend outrageously on things, not even on food which is my weakness. What makes the food items pricey here is the import taxes levied on them from abroad as the variety here is restricted to the one grown domestically. Even the cost of apples and oranges crosses over $1 and Kiwis cost $1-2 each.
While looking for the highlights of korea on web before I could visit the place in person, I came across a Mango, not an ordinary one as it comes with a tag of being the world’s most expensive Mango. Ought to be; as it demands a biting sum of 31,800w or $34. One doubts if the core of the mango is filled with the diamonds and other precious stones but whatever, after all this could be the most expensive fruit ever.

No one should compromise at the cost of sustenance. Be it hamburgers, foie gras or burgers, you should go for one that can make your tongue smile. Foie gras may not do you the needed favor as ducks and geese are forced to fed in order to generate the outsized fatty livers that make foie gras such a frailty. Since 11 November, the Smile Burger was available from Smile Burger Kiyomizu Temple Stores. To your much-surprise; it’s not the meat, nor any special product that makes it so amazing. Retailed at $1,344, there must be a pricey complementary gift.

Whilst two days back you were enthralled to try $25,000 Frozen Haute Chocolate by New York based Serendipity3 but little was you aware that the Dessert shop would earn a black spot to its name and would be shutdown. The store that made up to Guinness world record for the category of world’s most expensive dessert doesn’t exist any more as it became the bait of the second inspection falling within a month. But Why? Hold me as the reason is quite stomach-turning; an inspector claims to find a live mouse, mouse droppings, flies and around 100 live cockroaches within the eatery. Isn’t it shocking? But can’t help!

Truffle enthusiasts from across the world managed to meet a gathering geared up to set highest bids for a 750-gram white truffle from Alba in Italy. There were populating bids from New York and Berlin but a truffle lover from Hong Kong put the full stop on the bidding session by essaying a $210,000 bid and tagging truffle to his name.
After the dry summer, the Italian truffle market has witnessed a great boom. The truffle got sold during the IXth world truffle auction in the northern Italian city of Grinzane Cavour at the end of the 77th Alba White Truffle National Festival. The scheduled truffle auction raised a total of $535,000. This sale has beaten the earlier record of $160,000 set by a Hong Kong based resident in November 2006.

Whilst days back I asked you to guess the price of the world’s most expensive dessert and your restricted taste or pocket ended up making a wrong guess leaving you stunned with $25000 dessert.
Today are you ready for another hiccup? Seemingly ordinary bagel demands an ordinary price of $1000. This distinct snacks item mars the fancy image of jewels that festoon the world’s most expensive dessert and stands away with its topping of rare white truffle cream cheese together with Riesling jelly made of goji berries.
True, it seems that the cost of the bagel is governed by the pricey truffles and goji berries. If you have enough money to burn then do buy it now from Westin Hotel in Times Square as it is available till 14 December. Well, a small proportion of the money generated via its sale would go for a good cause towards the scholarships for culinary arts students. If this bagel and my kind words towards this act of charity have won your heart then order it now as it entertains an advance order of 24 hours.

Since past many years, Golden Opulence, a $1,000 ice cream sundae is enjoying the sovereignty for being the priciest dessert offered by Serendipity 3 in New York. But now the owner of Serendipity 3 i.e. Stephen Bruce has charted another laurel to his name by entering the Guinness world record for the category of world’s most expensive dessert.
The dessert emporium have inked with New York-based jeweler Euphoria and designed an exotic “Frozen Haute Chocolate,” that is retailed at $25,000. This new dessert is the result of 28 cocoas collected from every corner of the world, which were infused with five grams of edible 23-karat gold. Above all, the presentable look of the dessert comes from the way it is being served in a goblet lined with edible gold.
With a topping of whipped cream, gold and a tinge of La Madeline au Truffle from Knipschildt Chocolatier, the dessert sells for $2,600 a pound. It is complemented with memento of an 18K gold bracelet whose worth of diamonds reside on the bottom of the goblet and a gold spoon encrusted with white and chocolate-colored diamonds. At such a descriptive note, the earlier discussed $1000 sundae cannot stand next to $25,000 sundae.
