There are people who would simply buy what is in vogue. The result is that every person walking across Hyde Park would have the same thing with them. Then there would be others who like exclusivity. For the latter ones, Nokia has launched its latest craft-piece called the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte. It has interesting materials in the making such as carbon fibre, titanium, polished glass and stainless steel to give it an arty look. But the USP of the product is that it is in 24k yellow gold makes it a sheer pleasure to see and hold.
At £2099, it is not a high price to pay considering the brand value of Nokia, the original design of the product and the fact that it is hand tailored in England. I particularly like the looks of gold on Black which reminds me of a beautiful speckled snake. It is so classy and unisex that it will appeal to both men and women!

Gold gold every where, neither is your iPhone spared. We just can’t seem to have enough of gold in our lives. We keep expanding limits to use our favorite metal. Here is the Apple iPhone built in 24k Gold, 16GB and Unlocked. This iPhone, we can say, is a pack of three products - a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, maps, and searching - into one small and lightweight handheld device. It is exclusive and packed with all the things an iPhone could ever offer and introduces an entirely new user interface based on a large multi-touch display and pioneering new software, letting you control everything with just your fingers. This completely redefines what we can do on a mobile phone as it enters the area of software power and sophistication never before seen in a mobile device.
This sleek golden iphone is placed for an auction with US $1000 as the starting bid which might close at a much higher bid for its being an item worth being fancied, soon. The gold and the fact that it is unlocked, makes this model of iPhone astonishingly expensive. Though it is slightly used and lacks 3G but the exclusivity of the model is enough to make you ignore these minimal shortcomings.

iPhone, the unprecedented device by Apple, is being launched with another exclusivity factor. Continental Mobiles, well known for its range of luxurious cell phones, has pimped the 3G, 16GB white luxury i-Phone with Pigeon Blood Red rubies and white diamonds. Exclusively and intricately handcrafted, this piece of art comes from England for £3099 (about $5,550). Though this isn’t the first union of gemstones with the much-hyped 3G iPhone, it will certainly be leap forward of the earlier versions. This adorned Apple cell phone comes in a sophisticated briefcase that promises a shield to this delicate gadget. And that’s not all! This security comes in a variety of elegant shades to choose from especially the Piano finishes that are inspired by the graceful curves of the Steinway Grand Piano. This seems to be a melodious twist!
Trendy and chic as the iPhone may be, it still vies for your haughty touch (no pun intended!) and dressing it up in glam-style is the only option. So here’s technology coming hand-in hand with the pompous flair.

In the days of the cold war, there were many insidious discoveries such as the button hole camera and other secret devices that the KGB and CIA used to spy on each other. This latest concept of The Ring Phone would have appealed the secret agents a lot. The product that we are going to talk about is Tao Ma’s Sony Ericsson Ring Phone that is still in the conceptual stage and has won the SE Design Competition, China. On the outside, it looks like a beautiful ring but can be used like any other phone to make or receive calls.

Just keep your ring finger close to your head and experience the wonder of this miniature phone. This design is particularly useful for forgetful people like me, who keep losing their cell phones at the blink of the eye. Tao Ma, the designer of this wonderful gadget truly deserves our kudos!

When the “rubies on phone” 3G iPhone was launched, people like me were happy to look at it from a distance. I say it because I cannot handle too feminine look of the handset, does not gel well with the way I carry myself. If you have been reading my posts, you would have guessed that my personality is that I prefer subtle to loud, under stated to gaudy. The new black and white diamond 3G iPhone is something that I would love to carry with me even if I am going to a corporate meet or to attend my grand uncle’s funeral! Sorry to use the expression but it really bugs me every time my sister takes the SIM out of her ruby phone and inserts in some appropriate handset, whenever we have to go for some mourning.
I certainly do not mind paying £3599 ($6,500) for this little useful device!

Expectant mothers cannot settle at anything less curious for their babies and hence keep on making efforts to gather random stuff that may invite the attention of a newly-born kid. And if you have noticed then each of piled up collection gets converted into phone, enabling mothers to let their month-old baby talk to his dad, who is at work. Replacing the pretentious phone figures of stuffed animals or plastic fruits, here stands a designer teddy bear from Kuma with functionality of a mobile phone. Exhibited at the 2008 Good Design Expo by cellular provider Willcom, the Kuma phone sports a SIM card inside similar to that of a standard phone model and can store up to four speed dial numbers (one for each paw-squeeze).
The incoming calls in this phone model are well identified by the vibration produced by it, and can be ended (after answering) by riveting the bear’s tail. The Kuma Phone is hopeful to invite wealthy eyeballs and make a visible sales by selling off each model for $500.

The latest baby to come from the house of LG is none other but a sweet little whiz kid mobile that claims to be an “all-in-one phone”. Yes, you guess it right, we are talking about the latest touch phone - the LG KC910. The elder sibling of this model, LG KU990 has been a very affable one. What remains to be seen is, does the new one matches the claims it so proudly presents.
KC910 gives a new age multi media experience, complete with an 8 megapixel auto focus camera, in built Wi-Fi and GPS, which lets you geo-tag the photos. The camera flaunts Schneider-Kreuznach optics with a xenon flash. The display has an unbeatable resolution of 240 x 400 pixels.

Now, the baby looks pretty enough for me to try but the only thing that puts me off is that the price is undisclosed yet. By the time they announce the price, I may get a fixation for another gadget! Let me wish it all the best, and pray that I wait for the model to be launched in October.
