You would think it to be some snazzy looking bicycle and give it a second look. But there is more to it and might not be easy to figure out in the first look. eROCKIT, the invention of Stephan Gulas, is an Electric assist bike, simple and skinny for a motorcycle (because it is electric!), and it sure is fast, going at speed of up to 50 miles per hour.
eROCKIT’s inventors call it the human-hybrid machine as I will be the cyclist’s pedaling motions that will assist the motor, which multiplies the rider’s effort by a factor of 50, the company says. The faster you pedal, the faster you go, simple. You just need to pedal even to accelerate as the bike has no separate acceleration pedal or handle as a motorcycle would. Pedaling also helps to charge up the bike’s battery.
Built using a nano-phosphate lithium battery, eROCKIT expects it to last for 10 years or 50,000 kilometers of use. A charge should last for 60 to 80 kilometers Depending on the pedaling style. eROCKIT plans to build just 10 machines in 2009, for the pretty-penny price tag of $44,000 ($35,000 down)! So maybe we will just wait till the idea consummates for mass production.

Here is a vehicle concept that has a potential to ride the road like a car and if need be can zip off likewise a motorbike. With the face of the model throwing hints of its appeal similar to that of a car and equal amount of respect goes to its weird rear that qualifies it as a bike. So, you have every right to feel opportune if this concept meets reality. Designed by Alvino Design, the Proxima is a two-seater model that effectively merges two diverse automobile forms. Probability is if you have developed a fad for motorcycles then Proxima might not be your overt choice but those have a liking for peculiar vehicle impression followed by a sleek body styling would surely value Proxima’s graceful tapering from one automobile to another. After seeing this giant motorcycle bathed in green tub, I was taken a back for a while. Following the road warriors who created the buzz via their ultra portables, the renowned Russian modder Dennis Ilyin (a.k.a. “Xoolerâ€) thought of delivering some different concept and thus targeted upon offering on-the-go computing with this determined motorcycle casemod. The profoundly modded, liquid-cooled PC can comfortably be used while the motorcycle is parked and if need be can be accessible while riding by placing monitor in your lap and connecting it with an extension cord.

This two-wheeled computing marvel doesn’t have an engine but the availability of massive LED-lit water tanks covers it up by assuring ample processing power that compensates for the absence of racing horsepower.

The compu-bike was unveiled at the NVIDIA-sponsored modding contest and bagged second award to its name. For more pics visit here.
