This one’s for the Apple lovers!!! Naah, not the fruit but the producer of iMacs and iPods, and now the iPhone. Well, let’s hear it then. Heckler Design has come up with a cool piece of furniture which they lovingly call OneLessDesk. It comprises of two slim tables, one tucked under the other, and can slide out when required and serve as two work surfaces.

The larger and taller one can be used for keeping desktop computers and your decorative nick-knacks like your flower vase, crystal pieces, time piece and all that jazz. On the other hand, the smaller desk can be utilised for keep the keyboard, mouse and even laptops.

All set to offer a magical touch to your interiors, here is a LED table with a structure similar to that of a wrist watch. Designed and developed by former aircraft toolmaker and art wangle Lee J Rowland, the colossal LED wristwatch clock table is a masterpiece. The table respects its functionality and appeal and hence features programmable touch button display. Priced at £18,500, the Deja Vu series of tables screams luxury and only a nerd can dare to ink a deal with it.

Whilst months back the evolution of interaction table marked a new revolution with little knowledge that soon it would have to face competition with Interactive Scape, a 58-inch touch surface. The latter one is a replica of the Microsoft Surface table that created much of a buzz but is not available for sale until now. But that doesn’t mean that the existence of interactive products is only till news and doesn’t meet reality. Microsoft TouchWall retailed at $100,000 inked a neat deal at Neimann Marcus. It is a clear indication of the fact that there is no restraint to the production of interactive surface and filthy-rich tech-lovers as well.

Coalescing 3-D arrays of interactive color progress monitored by its surroundings, the Illuminating Table aims at infusing a fresh breath of life in your room. Functional in “generative art” form, the table utilizes algorithms to craft a frequently varying pattern of shades where grouping of exclusively select glass types offer the delusion of a continual sense of room inside the white glass box. When operational, the table format sports all the artwork encumbered onto it, thereby offering an unswerving and upholding interactive and receptive power that allows users be with the artwork.

Owning or at least updating myself about hi-end tables developed for gaming and entertainment purposes is something that interests me. Having introduced you to $30k touchscreen poker table, lately I found another interesting table but for billiards enthusiasts and not pokers. Called MartinBauer Tournament Table, this designer product breeds royalty and invites serious Billiards players. Measuring 9 foot, its play area spreads almost twice as long as its width from the cloth covering the nose of the cushion rubber to the reverse rubber. The table is developed valuing the equipment specifications put forward by the Billiard Congress of America besides offering the heights of sculptural metallurgy.

Antique Flap-Top Table Rescued From a Skip Fetches £40,000

An exceptional walnut table that was salvaged from a skip lately generated sales of £40,000 at an auction organized by Shrewsbury-based auctioneers. Auction house together with the owners of the flap-top table (a family from Powys), were pleased with the value fetched by the lot. Designed and developed by a 19th century architect-designer Edward William Godwin, the table was acknowledged by Jeremy Lamond from Halls while making a visit to a house in the Welshpool area in March. After the contestation between three telephone bidders, it was finally procured by an expert dealer from London.

Priced at $27,000, this innovative table is designed and handcrafted developed by Colorado sculptor Daniel Romano. It features a hot rolled steel finish that comes with refined edges, hand structured metal pockets with rubber liners standing on steel legs.

Develop Your Own Multitouch Table Via Cubit

Engineers working at Eyebeam, a New York arts and technology center, are radically engaged in cutting down the cost involved in making of multitouch tables by offering them open-source. Schematics for the Cubit, a multi-touch tabletop exhibit are accessible online for individuals interested in designing their own Microsoft Surface at a cost less than one tenth of the Surface’s price. Called Cubit, this boxy tabletop comes with a clear surface.

To get started, the proud would-be owner of the multi-touch table needs to have a webcam with an infrared filter and a small image projector. All you need to do is to plug in the webcam, install the Cubit software and turn on the projector and start moving. Eyebeam guys Addie Wagenknetch and Stefan Hechenberger share that they were liberating the Cubit to highlight the visibility that anyone can build a multitouch table.
In addition to designs and online software’s, the duo would be selling DIY kits featuring instructions and parts.
