The revolutionary creation of ‘Out-of-Box Workstation’ by the Mumbai-based design team Planet 3 Studios emphasis on the possibility that even a compact piece of furniture can unfold offering a roomy environment for an office desk accommodating not only one but two. It is their designer way to install rooms within a box sporting a workstation with integrated 2 desks, a civilized amount of desktop accessories plus a huge storage space with a facility of placing it anywhere, thanks to its wheeled-walk. Still in progress, the anticipated build price of $2350 (Rs.1, 00,000) gives us hopes that it would be soon available for sale.
Other competitive workstation that is worth considering is myP.O.D by Peter.J.Sucy but for this you need to hold a bit as for now it is just a potential concept. And if you happen to be a DJ, free feel to ink a deal with DJ workstation.
Check out the video of the workstation in action after the jump:

Call it the best example of a magnificent minimalism or compact functionality, it deserves all. Adding to my running list of hi-tech workstations, here stands a feature packed majestic workstation developed to make a difference to the available desks. Called the myP.O.D workstation, this intelligent creation by designer Peter J. Sucy is comes equipped with one big curve that goes well with its vast design and sports an adjustable seating, custom-built PC set up with adaptable monitors, a keyboard and the omnipresent mouse. It offers a space no less than a room for all sundry office essentials.
The easy accessibility to things around makes me say that ‘Perfect’ is too less a word to describe it. The myP.O.D workstation accommodates your tid-bits and bookshelf embellishments that reside high above your head on a rack. You can place your needful documents tactically at diverse levels and before I skip, the workstation is saturated with vivid yet gentle light civility low energy LEDs.

Now its time to face some reality: Not that aforementioned info is fake but has a potential to turn reality if corporate moguls approach designer and convince him to make this concept functional.

It is not for the first time that a manufacturer has integrated a desktop into a workstation. And neither it is likely to be the last. Lately, I have covered the innovative XYZ computer desk here and he I am to introduce you with another computer integrated into the desktop, which others happen to call it a workstation. Its symmetrical plane from any angle comes equipped with a monitor; keyboard, touchpad and even a cooling system that helps it cool in case of overheating.
It is available in three editions with a top-notch called one RScube RC3200PRO retailed at $12,500 and features eight 4-x nuclear processors Intel Xeon 2.00 GHz, 4 hard disks for 160 GB, 7″ built-in monitor, built-in Touchpad, and keyboard.

There is no dearth of witty desktops or notebooks but question is: Are they all functional or the present concept has a potential to be functional enough. Lately, I introduced you to Futuristic pen touch desktop computer and here sits its competitor. Known as Sync Desktop, the designer concept by Gareth Battensby features a fold-away widescreen monitor and keyboard, integrated USB hub, scanner, mouse, webcam, easy-to-access DVD unit, and huge storage space. And since it is all impeccably incorporated into the devise, the Sync concept has a potential to turn into reality whenever necessary.
The only worry that invites my attention is whether it deserves to have commercial visibility or not as the big question would be how to upgrade the hardware.

The 36th International Exhibition of Invention has witnessed the presence of almost 700 plus creative minds from across the globe. Amongst the pool of products, the duo that rotated the eye lids of audience there including me is the Self Making Bed designed by Enrico Berruti and ‘Trespolo’ by Italian Cosimo Letteriello. These creations are clearly developed for too lazy or too smart geeks. Had I being asked to tag the event, I would have donned it as ‘For Extremist Geeks’.
Dubbed as “Selfy the EasyBed,†the self-making bed together with its two lateral arms can handle any bed linen and features machinery on its edges with tubes on which one wraps the sides of the duvet linen. A small push of the button would activate the tubes to flat over duvet linen, while the belts at the side will squeeze and offer finish to the sheet. Plans are to start with its commercialization soon if it manages to get a positive response.

The Trespolo (tripod) is a case that can be transformed into a workstation for your emergency requirement in absence of tables. Its portable feature is what would make it the first thing to be picked by any geek while travelling.
